Phyllis Boumans

I hold a PhD in Irish literature from the University of Leuven with a focus on mid-twentieth-century literature, periodical culture, short fiction studies, late modernism and gender studies. I have published in journals such as the Irish University Review, Irish Studies Review and New Hibernia Review and am co-editor of The Writer’s Torch: Reading Stories from The Bell (Stinging Fly, 2023) and The Edinburgh Companion of Irish Literature and Periodical Culture (EUP, 2025) .
