Autumn teaching

We are teaching on campus this Autumn.

For the distance courses in ethnology, teaching takes place through the learning platform Studium and the e-meeting tool Zoom.


Activate your student account

If you already have a student account, you can skip this section.

Before you can start your studies, you must activate your student account at Uppsala University. Once you have activated your account, you will be able to register for your courses or your program in Ladok; and log in to the learning platform Studium. The student account also gives you access to student resources such as library services, e-mail, MS Office, the opportunity to make transcripts and to use UU's network.


Register in Ladok for students

Once you have activated your student account, you need to register for the course or program to which you have been admitted. You register for your course or your program in Ladok for students.

If you do not register in time, you risk losing your place.

If you are admitted with conditions - you do not yet meet the requirements - you will not be able to register. Contact our course administrator Angelika Holm. At the latest at the start of the course, the requirements must be met in order for you to be registered.

Registration periods

Registration is open July 29 - August 22 for courses and programs that begin at the start of the semester in August.

  • For courses starting in October, registration is open September 13 - September 26.
  • For courses starting in November, registration is open October 11 - October 24.
  • For courses starting in December, registration is open November 22 - December 5.

Distance courses in ethnology

The distance courses in ethnology are given from Campus Gotland. Register for the course (or courses) you have been admitted to in Ladok for students.

If you are admitted with conditions, you can not register in Ladok for students. Contact our course coordinator at Campus Gotland, Cecilia Howe.

Teaching takes place through the learning platform Studium, where you will also find all the information you need before the course starts. See the section Log in to Studium. Zoom is used for the courses' chats, see information further down the page.

Master's Program in Humanities

Admitted to subject areas Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology register in Ladok for students on the introductory course within the programme Introductory Course for Master's Students in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology 7.5 credits. The program then starts automatically. Registration is open July 29 - August 22.

If you are admitted with conditions - you do not yet meet the requirements - you will not be able to register. At the latest at the start of the course, the requirements must be met in order for you to be registered.


Students on waiting lists

We contact reserves in turn. If you have been placed on a waitinglist and can be offered a place, you will be contacted by the department. Make sure that your contact information is correct. Also look in your junk box.


Have you changed your mind, or been prevented?

If you no longer intend to enrol a course or programme, please withdraw your application in Ladok for students as soon as possible, so that another student may take your place.

Log in to Studium

All course information (schedules, syllabi, teacher lists, reading instructions, literature lists, etc.) can be found in the learning platform Studium. If you are admitted or registered you can see your course or program pages when you log in to Studium. As with registration, you must first have activated your student account to be able to log in to Studium. Please note that it may take a day or so after you have register and activate your account before you can log in.

You can read our syllabi without being logged in as soon as the courses are published. This takes place continuously during the semester. Syllabi that can be read now are:

Zoom

It may happen that part of the teaching takes place via the e-meeting tool Zoom. Test your Zoom account well in advance so that you have time to get acquainted with the tool.
