Closing ceremonies and graduation events
At the end of each academic year, there is a closing ceremony for students completing their studies.
In Uppsala, the University invites you to a closing ceremony for international students. If you are a student at Campus Gotland you are welcome to join the joint closing ceremony for all students at the campus.
Individual programmes, departments or faculties may also arrange graduation events.
Closing ceremonies
Students at our international programmes in Uppsala
The Closing Ceremony for international students completing their studies in 2024 will be held on 30 May at 18:00 in the University Main Building. Registration for the event will open in early May 2024. The registration link and more information will be published on this page.
Students at Campus Gotland
The closing ceremony in Visby will be held on 31 May at 16:00 and is open to all students completing their studies at Campus Gotland 2024. During the ceremony, you will be treated to music and speeches from the Advisor of the Vice-Chancellor, a representative from Region Gotland and Gotland Student Union Rindi, who also will announce the Teacher of the Year 2024. Afterwards, we offer drinks, and snacks and mingling

Graduation events for individual programmes
Individual programmes, departments or faculties may also arrange graduation events and activities for their students, for both Bachelor's level students and Master's level students. Contact your department to find out what applies to you.
Remember to apply for a degree
Please note that no degree certificates are awarded via these ceremonies, as they are not formal graduation ceremonies. You must actively apply for a degree to receive your certificate.
