Tuition fee scholarships

Uppsala University offers a few scholarship opportunities especially for current fee-paying students.

Below you will find the scholarships announced for the academic year 2023-2024.

The Uppsala University International Scholarship Fund for international fee-paying students. The fund aims to attract and support ambitious students, giving them financial aid to continue their studies during the coming academic year 2023/2024.

The scholarship is for fee-paying students who are full-time students at Uppsala University during the academic year 2022/2023.

What is included in the scholarship?

The scholarship will partially cover the tuition fee with a total amount of 40 000 SEK per student for one academic year. This means that the tuition fee will be reduced by 20 000 SEK per semester.

The scholarship can only be used for reducing part of the tuition fee, and living costs are not covered. Scholarship recipients must therefore still be able to fund their living costs by other means, as per the requirements of the Swedish Migration Agency.

Application criteria

You are welcome to apply for this scholarship if you have been a full-time fee-paying student at Uppsala University during the academic year 2022/2023. When applying, all of the following criteria must be met. The applicant must

  • have passed courses within the programme amounting to 100% of the total credits that can be obtained during the previous semesters. Students with fewer credits obtained or interruptions in the programme are not eligible for the scholarship.
