COVID-19 report, 4 February

On 3 February, the Prime Minister sent a clear message that Sweden will begin to phase out infection control measures on 9 February. The University welcomes this message and looks forward to the future with confidence.

This means that Uppsala University can begin to return to what may be termed its normal, regular activities unaffected by restrictions.

In terms of University-wide measures associated with the coronavirus pandemic, the following applies:

  1. The University’s coronavirus group will have its final meeting on 11 February. After that, the group will be put on hold until 1 April and then disbanded provided the situation is favourable.
  2. The self-reporting procedure for confirmed cases will be suspended from 14 February until 1 April and then discontinued provided the situation is favourable.
  3. Collaboration with relevant internal and external parties in connection with the coronavirus pandemic will be suspended from 14 February until 1 April.

Hopefully, the ‘coronavirus chapter’ can be closed for good on 1 April.

Report if you have received a COVID-19 diagnosis so that the University can take measures to reduce the risk of infection.
