COVID-19 report, 11 February

On 9 February, virtually all remaining restrictions were lifted for people who have been vaccinated. Two recommendations remain in place, however:

  • Get vaccinated!
  • Stay at home if you feel unwell

Uppsala University, in collaboration with Region Uppsala, will begin to plan ways of increasing vaccination coverage among members of staff and students.

“The aim is for parts of the regional vaccination team to visit our campus areas to offer a first, second or third dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Uppsala University will communicate specifically about this as soon as the parties involved have finalised their plans,” says Fredrik Blomqvist, Chief Security Officer at Uppsala University.

Transition initiated

The University is switching from working at home to working on site, with heads of department or division deciding on the pace of return, the goal being to have everyone back in the workplace by 1 April.

Teaching will similarly return to the type of instruction laid down in the course syllabus. Here too, a window of return will be open until 1 April, and each faculty is responsible for the pace of return, together with its departments.

“This report will hopefully be the last of its kind. The coronavirus group will now be put on hold until 1 April and then disbanded. Self-reporting will end on 13 February.”
