Apply for targeted study support

If you have a long-term disability you can apply for targeted study support during your studies at Swedish higher education institutions. Before you apply, make sure you have a certificate issued by a licensed health care professional, speech therapist or equivalent.

How to apply for support:

  1. Apply for targeted study support through the application system "Nais".
  2. Once you have filled in your application you will get an email from a disability coordinator and be asked to book an appointment with them for consultation. At the start of the semester, there might be a wait to book an appointment with the coordinator and be notified of support.
  3. After the consultation you will get an email with an approval (or rejection) with recommendations for the support you need. The approval is valid from the day you register at the university.
  4. Your application will be rejected if you have not included a certificate for your disability or if you are not registered

Check your spam

When you are waiting for an email from the University, also check your spam folder as the email may end up there. If so, move it to your inbox, as many email services automatically empty the spam folder after some time.

If you have been approved for support

We recommend you to bring your approval and/or recommendation email with you when you talk to your department.

If you already have an approval you are always welcome to book an appointment with your coordinator.
