Groups and seminars

Do you feel stressed by expectations, deadlines, and a high workload? Do you have a tendency to procrastinate? Are you new in Sweden and struggling with the climate and darkness? Are you feeling lonely? We provide tools to improve your situation and find a better balance in life, as well as opportunities to meet new people.

As a student at Uppsala University, SLU (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) in Uppsala, and Johannelund School of Theology, you have access to our groups and seminars.

All of our groups and seminars are free of charge and developed based on the kind of help students most often request when they contact us. They are held in English and open to both Swedish and international students. If you speak Swedish, you can look through our range of activities we offer in Swedish.

Seminars and group discussions

Join our themed seminars and group discussions to receive information, worksheets/exercises, along with book and app tips on these specific topics. Take this opportunity to get some answers, tips, to discuss and meet others with similar concerns.

Lectures

Our lectures are similar to our seminars, but are shorter and without the themed discussions. You are welcome to sign up for whichever event suites your interests, including all of them.

Student groups

Join our groups to go on regular meetings with fellow students in similar situations. Take this opportunity to get some answers, tips, to discuss and meet others. You are welcome to sign up for whichever group is of interest, including all of them.

Do you have trouble organising your studies, a hard time getting started, or a tendency to put off tasks? If so, then the Do it now! group is for you. The purpose of the group is, with support of one another, to get going with your studies and create new and improved study habits. The group meets weekly and ongoing throughout the term.

Meet other international students and get inspiration to exercise. We will start with a short introduction about the Student Health Services and Campus1477, the training facility. Followed by a short workout focusing on training efficiently, either with your body weight or by using the gym equipment.

Come ready to work out and we will get you started with exercise. After the meet you will receive a personal training programme.

Being physically active increases your learning ability and your well-being!

On Mondays during the autumn, you as a student can test different types of exercise together with Student Health and Campus1477. We are located in Campus1477's premises and participation is free. Bring indoor shoes and a water bottle.
