I hope that you have had a relaxing holiday!

We return to teaching in a somewhat uncertain situation. The university, as well as the department, will continue to follow the situation and we will inform you if there are any changes concerning restrictions. At present, teaching and examination will be on site, in accordance with current guidelines. Exceptions from campus teaching and examination are currently only made if there is a suspicion of or confirmed infection in the student group or among the teachers, or alternatively if we see that it is not possible to achieve the necessary infection control measures. We recommend that you continuously follow the information available on UU's web pages, as the situation can change quickly.

It is important that we all take joint responsibility for the safety of our study environment, so I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the most important measures each of us can take to contribute to reducing the spread of the Corona virus:

• - Wash your hands often, use hand sanitizer where available
• - Cough in your sleeve
• - Get vaccinated if you have not already done so
• - Stay at home if you are ill / have respiratory symptoms
• - Maintain social distancing, avoid large gatherings of people in confined spaces
• - If you wish to use a face mask, you may of course freely do so
