Examination

Registration for examination and re-exam

  • You must always register for the exam - this applies to both regular exams and re-exams.
  • Registration takes place in Ladok no later than 12 days before the exam day.
  • If you have not registered, you may not take the exam.
  • All exams written in the common exam rooms at Uppsala University must be written anonymously.
  • When registering, you will receive a code number that you must use instead of your social security number.
  • Sometimes the registration procedures differ between different institutions.

Deregistration

  • It is important that you deregister for the exam if you do not intend to take it. To avoid costs incurred for guards, materials and halls, deregistration must take place no later than the last day of registration, normally 12 days before the exam.

Bring valid photo identification

  • A valid photo ID is required to participate in exams. A valid photo ID is a passport, driver's license (regardless of which country) and national ID card. It must be an original document, not a copy.
  • Residence permit, campus card or ID issued by banks or companies are not accepted as identification documents. Neither is any form of e-identification accepted.
  • Mobile phones may not be brought into the writing room.
