The Humanities Section, Humsek, is one of the four sections of Uppsala Student Union. The purpose of the sections is to bring the union's activities closer to the students and thereby make it easier for students to influence their particular campus, department or faculty. Humsek organises and engages students studying humanities subjects at the Faculty of Languages, the Faculty of History and Philosophy or the Faculty of Theology.

HumSek's office is located on the English Park Campus in room 7-1016, in the corridor outside Matikum.

The faculty coordinators work on issues related to student representation and help students who encounter problems in their studies or other study-related areas, such as the physical and psychosocial work environment.

Contact the faculty coordinator if you have any questions or concerns.

The faculty coordinators have offices at Kårhuset: Övre Slottsgatan 7, 75310 Uppsala.

E-mail: fakultetssamordnare@uskar.se

As a student at the English Park campus, you can use a locker during the academic year to store books and small items of clothing. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis and you must bring your own padlock.

Only one locker may be used per person. You must not store anything in the lockers that could start to smell or mould.

By mid-June, all lockers must be emptied. After that, the padlocks are cut open and are not replaced. Items left in the lockers can be picked up at the caretaker's office in building 3, but only for a certain time after emptying.

Please note that you cannot use the lockers again until the start of the semester.

Lockers

  • In the "Grottan", basement level in building 2.
  • In the alley outside the Karin Boye library in building 9.
  • In the corridor of building 7, level 0
  • Outside rooms 7-0042 and 7-0043.

English Park's notice boards are only intended for postings related to education, research and student activities at Uppsala University.

Follow these rules for posting:

  • Post your notice on the general notice boards. Some boards are only intended for information from specific departments. Ask in the Service Centre if you are unsure where they are.
  • It is not allowed to post on surfaces other than designated notice boards, i.e. not doors, walls, pillars, etc.
  • Only one poster per notice board is allowed.
  • Use pins or staples to put up your poster, NOT a stapler. There are pins on the boards that can be used.
  • Date mark your poster if there is no pre-printed date for an event. The notice boards are cleared at regular intervals and events that have passed are removed. A major clean-up is done in the summer.
  • Never cover a poster. Instead, take down an outdated poster if you want to use the space.

Have you left something on campus? We have two collection points for lost property in the Service Centre in building 3. One for valuables found inside the reception and one with the remaining lost property outside the reception under the defibrillator to the left of the counter.

Valuables are kept in the Service Centre for two weeks and then sent to the police lost property department.
