Exchange studies

There are several routes to study outside Sweden for students in chemistry at Uppsala university. The Chemistry Section has agreements with several European partner universities encompassing courses at advanced level in chemistry.

  • As a student on the Bachelor's Programme in Chemistry we recommend that you have completed at least two years of the Programme before you go on exchange.
  • As a student on the Master's Programme in Chemistry it is possible to go on exchange during semester 2, 3 or 4.
  • If you are a student on the Master's Programme in Chemical Engineering, exchange studies are usually possible during year 4 or 5.

More exchange agreements within other subjects are available at other Departments, at the Faculty of Science and Technology (TekNat) and as university-wide agreements for all students at Uppsala University.

If you want to be certain that you will be able to be credited with the courses in your degree - talk to the Study adviser for your Programme.

If you want to go on exchange within a Chemistry agreement you should at least have half your credits within chemistry. When you have found an alternative contact the coordinator for exchanges within chemistry for more information: exchangechemistry@uu.se

The Chemistry agreements are listed on the TekNat-page.
