Leave of Absence and Discontinuation

Leave of Absence

Taking a study break means that you pause your place on the programme and are guaranteed a place after the break. There are no restrictions on the length of time you apply for a break. The easiest way to apply for a leave of absence is to fill in an e-form, which you can get by emailing studentadmin@nek.uu.se.

When you return from your leave, you must also inform us that you intend to continue your studies.

Discontinuation

If you request to interrupt your studies, you give up your place in the programme. This means that you can no longer study on the programme. If you want to request a discontinuation, email studentadmin@nek.uu.se to receive an e-form.
