Admission and registration

You will find admission and registration information for courses or programmes offered at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research for the coming or current semester below.

Registration for the Master’s Programme in Peace and Conflict Studies

Admitted applicants:
When you have been admitted to the Master's Programme in Peace and Conflict Studies, the first thing to do is to activate your Student Account. You are recommended to do that as soon as you have received your notification of admittance.

Then you must register in order to keep your spot and start your studies. Registration is open from July 29 until August 25, 2024. With your activated Student Account, you log into the student records LADOK and register yourself for the first two courses on the programme: Causes of War and Methods I. In order to keep your place, you must be registered by August 26 at the latest.

Conditionally admitted applicants:
You have been admitted to the Master’s Programme in Peace and Conflict Studies with the condition that you need to have completed your Bachelor’s degree by the start of the programme. Before you can register, you must prove your eligibility. You will need to upload your degree diploma and complete transcript to your University Admissions account as soon as possible, but no later than 2 September. You will also have to send an e-mail to antagning@uu.se and liana.lopes@pcr.uu.se stating that you have uploaded the documents, no later than September 2. Make sure to include your name and the name of our programme. In case your degree diploma will not be issued by September 2, it is important that you contact both the programme coordinator and administrator by August 12 at the latest in order to secure your place. Please note that other conditions may stop you from registration, for example, if you are a fee-paying student and the university has not yet received your payment.

Applicants on the reserve list (waiting list):
If you are placed on the reserve list, you will be contacted by the programme coordinator via e-mail in case you can be offered a place. You then need to reply within a given period of time. Remember to check your emails, including your spam mail.

There will be an introduction to the programme August 26-29 – the schedule for this will be sent in mid-August.
The courses on the programme start on September 2, 2024.
