Perspective Institution

The Department of Peace and Conflict Studies provides a comprehensive education addressing the causes of conflict and insecurity and the explanations for peace and processes of conflict resolution. Almost all classes are taught in English, and our students are capable of professional writing and speaking in several languages.

Students are highly motivated and come from a wide range of backgrounds, many with previous work experience and a varied range of skills. They pursue internships internationally and in Sweden, working in research, policy and advocacy as well as within diplomatic missions of a range of countries.

Announcements of internship vacancies may be sent to the internship.courses@pcr.uu.se, these will be circulated to our students.
