Courses abroad
As a student at Uppsala University, you have the opportunity to take courses at one of the university's partner universities abroad. Courses are offered in various formats, including exchange studies for one or two semesters, freestanding courses either online, on-site at a host university, or in a blended teaching format, as well as summer courses held between semesters some time between June to August.
Exchange studies via university-wide central agreements
Take courses for one or two semesters at a partner university. These study abroad opportunities are available to all students regardless of what you study.
Studies abroad via department or faculty agreements
Study courses abroad for one or two semesters via an agreement between the department or faculty that you are studying at and their partner university.
Freestanding courses abroad
Individual courses given through the network ENLIGHT, either physically, virtually, or in a blended format, either during or between semesters.
Transfer of credits
Before applying for exchange studies, we recommend that you speak with your study coordinator or academic advisor to explore the possibilities of transfering credits.
Once you have completed your studies at the partner university abroad, they will issue a certificate of your study results. Then you may apply for a transfer of these credits towards a degree at Uppsala University. Please note that transfer of credits from exchange studies never happens automatically; you must apply!
Here, you can find more information on the process and the documents required for applying for transfer of credits.
