Make an appointment for a tutorial
The Language Workshop offers appointments for tutorials every weekday during office hours. A session takes up to one hour. You may choose to have a tutorial online, using Zoom, or on campus in Uppsala or Visby.
Uppsala University uses Zoom for digital meetings. Make sure to download Zoom unless you have already done so.
After you have submitted the booking form, we will suggest a time for an appointment. Please note that the tutorial has not been booked until you have confirmed that you would like to book the suggested time. When the booking has been finalised, you will receive a confirmation email with information about the tutorial and the name and contact information of the tutor you will meet with.
Remember to
- confirm that you would like to book the suggested time
- cancel the appointment as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
Drop-in appointments
Our drop-in sessions are short and are suitable for quick questions regarding oral presentations, language and writing. The sessions are offered online in Zoom between 15:15 and 16:00 on Mondays during the term.
If you need to cancel your appointment
If you cannot make it to your booked tutorial, it is important that you cancel your appointment as soon as you can. In order for us to be able to offer the appointment to another student, we need to be notified of your cancellation at least two days in advance.
Students that repeatedly miss their appointments without a valid excuse or notification will not be offered further appointments at the Language Workshop.
