If you have a long-term disability that affects your studies, you can get targeted study support during your time at Uppsala University.
The support offered is based on your individual needs and aims to facilitate your studies. The goal is for all students to have an opportunity to study on equal terms.
Feel free to contact the coordinators well in advance of starting your studies to discuss your need for support. At the start of the semester, there might be a wait to book an appointment with the coordinator and be notified of support.
Language and reading resources
Audio books, hearing loops, programs for spelling and speech synthesis are some of the support available to you as a student.
Study abroad with a disability
Students who have a disability can apply for extra financial support for additional costs for studies abroad or a traineeship.
Film about targeted study support
There is a building manager at every campus whom you can contact if you would like more specific information about the physical accessibility of the campus premises. A number of Uppsala University's departments are located in older buildings, where accessibility may be limited. On many campuses there is access to resting rooms.
